In August 2024, ForWomen organized an empowering workshop sponsored by Chuanmen Company focusing on celebrating the Uterus. Through art, 22 participants ranging from ages 15-45 explored the uterus’s symbolism, aiming to break social stigma and celebrate this vital organ. ForWomen encouraged participants to paint personal interpretations, using imageries and creativity to express empowerment and challenge misconceptions surrounding female reproductive health.

“The Neglected Uterus" Workshop

Nu-Shu, the only language used and developed exclusively by women, originates in Hunan Province. Nu-shu allowed women to share personal stories, songs, and emotions in a patriarchal society where female voices were often suppressed. This Summer, ForWomen combined the beautiful characters of Nu-shu with the Henna tattoo to spread the significance of this soon-to-be-extinct writing.
